Climbing Mount Takao
Hiking up a gorgeous mountain covered in forest sounded like a good idea to me. Excited! Heading into the mountains by train! Climbing Mount Takao Shrines are everywhere on this mountain. They exist in the very high energy areas. Shinto shrine by a waterfall. My hands were buzzing with high energy here, Aki had to drag me away. Suspension bridge crossing through canopy Climbing a steep creek bed View from the summit View of Mt Fuji The hike through beautiful forest was rewarded by gorgeous views, good food and sore legs!
Camping Conondale National Park in a heatwave
I was itching to get out into the countryside so I headed to the rain-forest with my sister for some inland adventures and relaxation. Heidi Foreman knows how to take great photos! Heading out at sunset, not the best time to find a campsite but makes for great photots Finding the Charlie Moorland Camping Area proved a challenge with my GPS taking me down the worst possible road. My sister had been 4 wheel driving up that road and was nearly killed, so I'm glad she recognized it. I ended up having to do a U-Turn on a narrow track with the caravan. Luckily I found an area that wasn't too boggy. After backtracking and turning off the GPS I followed a much better road which took me directly to the camping ground. 2,200km tow to Sunshine Coast, good food and gorgeous scenery
A belly bug stopped me eating for three days, but it didn't keep me from the gorgeous Sunshine Coast! On the way I discovered some of the great pleasures of travelling with a caravan. Rig loaded up and ready to roll! I needed lots of breaks due to fatigue Great massive artwork in the middle of nowhere Mobile library service, universal soldier style Alex Foreman at Tooleybuc, NSW Once my belly had settled down I could start to enjoy one of the greatest pleasures of caravan travel. Being able to pull over in nice locations, then being able to make a hot coffee, cook a tasty meal and sleep on site! Rig pulled over in middle of nowhere for coffee and hot meal. Boiling the billy Coffee on the go Bacon and egg breakky Pulling out of Dubbo I managed to nearly run out of fuel. The GPS took me down dodgy back-roads instead of the main highway. Towns on the route where I thought there would be fuel turned out to be more like homes...
