Fathers day alienation (updated)

Rang my ex today to speak to my daughter Aurelia. Got no reply. Sent her a text message asking to speak to her for fathers day. Got no reply. Then sent my ex the picture below. Got no reply to that either, but had the awareness that the picture was seen and not well received. I really miss my daughter. I had a really good, warm and loving relationship with her. I was aware that my ex was hard at work trying to destroy that but I kept encouraging my daughter to have a good relationship with her mother. I warned my daughter about what my ex was doing and why. Unfortunately the brainwashing eventually worked. Even after years of working in high security prison, I cannot for the life of me understand how people can be so evil and cruel. The worst part is, my ex openly admits that she is cruel and is proud of it. I love you sweety, even if Mum won't let me say it to you. A lot of people have been asking me to start this blog, so here it goes. As a child I made a life changing decision. I decided that my life was going to be awesome, that I would earn the freedoms I was born with as an Australian, and that I would die having made a difference in the world. Initially I lived up to that promise. As a teenager I spent time on Balbarini Station in the Northern Territory and grew up rough. By the age of 16, while still in high school, I had my pilots licence and my adventures really began. I flew to Kangaroo island, and all the way up the coast to the Whitsunday islands. Eaten alive in the Dunethan swamps

I'm really loving the Hobie. Decided to call her "Savage" since she's based on a traditional Polonesian boat used by savage cannibles. I challenged myself to do the entire Moorochy River, traversing mud flats, swamps, low bridges, strong currents, narrow passes and impenetrable forests on either shore. Mosquito swarms in Dunethin Swamp bit right through my cloths The mosquitoes were ridiculous. At sunset they formed clouds and there was no escape! Cloths did nothing to stop them. The bastards savaged me big time! I had to constantly switch between sailing, peddling and paddling as the nature of the river changed. Low power lines and extremely low bridges meant that my mast had to be dropped repeatedly. No place to get the boat ashore Wind and current were against me and my paddle broke so I had to abandon the attempt and failed to traverse the entire river. Nothing like going to a warm secluded beach and relaxing for a few days with family. This was my first chance to tow my Roadstar Pop-top with the BT-50 and got the opportunity to test the 4x4 on sand and a very rough track. The drive down was like a Karaoke night, as we cranked the tunes and sang until our throats hurt. Nor was there any room to turn around. I found myself gingerly crabbing the caravan around, manoeuvring between tents and trees, wondering if I was going to make it. A hasty last minute decision really paid off. Day after day of challenging corners, hard acceleration, remote wilderness, spectacular views, crisp fresh air, bizarre incidents, great food and good company (usually). When the roads are covered in moss, leaf litter and dead-fall instead of engine oil and litter, and you might pass one car in an hour, then you know your riding somewhere awesome. Over two spectacular rides I was led through the Yarra Ranges and Alpine National Park by riders with exceptional local knowledge. Glad I accepted this invitation! Exploring Tokyo Japan with Aki

Ninjas, Samurai, Fast trains, Sushi, Honour, Koi, and Hi Tech. Crazy Japan lives up to it's reputation. Alex and Aki in Tokyo The adventure started in Melbourne Airport where I befriended young Miki from Hiroshima. Yes she only has one head and her eyes are the same colour. She entertained me with light conversation during the boring wait to takeoff. Japan Airlines proved very comfortable for the 10 hour flight to Tokyo. I watched a bizzare Japanese inflight movie called "Picking fleas from cats", about a dishonoured Samurai who was ordered to became a gigolo and satisfy bored houswives. He was terrible in bed, so he found another dishonoured Samurai to train him. Nearly wet myself laughing. At Tokyo Narita Airport I was met by the cute Japanese Nurse Aki who has kindly offered to give me a private tour of her country. Old Woman Island / Emergency and Rescue

Sailed Savage out of Moololaba and did a lap of Old Woman Island with 19 boats from the Hobie Island club. Felt good to sail in a fleet. The weather was perfect so after the group finished I headed out again for the rest of the day and did another lap of the Island. I came across a shark and a pod of dolphins! Looks like my selfie made the Hobie Island club's "best picture" The boat ramp was like a traffic jam! I might look like a bandit, but it's better than getting fried in the harsh Queensland sun! Old Woman Island Apparently this Island is THE best place to snorkel on the Sunshine Coast. I will have to come out here on a calm day with an anchor and try to find the shallow reefs. 2,200km tow to Sunshine Coast, good food and gorgeous scenery

A belly bug stopped me eating for three days, but it didn't keep me from the gorgeous Sunshine Coast! On the way I discovered some of the great pleasures of travelling with a caravan. Rig loaded up and ready to roll! I needed lots of breaks due to fatigue Great massive artwork in the middle of nowhere Mobile library service, universal soldier style Alex Foreman at Tooleybuc, NSW Once my belly had settled down I could start to enjoy one of the greatest pleasures of caravan travel. Being able to pull over in nice locations, then being able to make a hot coffee, cook a tasty meal and sleep on site! Rig pulled over in middle of nowhere for coffee and hot meal. Boiling the billy Coffee on the go Bacon and egg breakky Pulling out of Dubbo I managed to nearly run out of fuel. The GPS took me down dodgy back-roads instead of the main highway. He's the guy who writes the books and takes the amazing photos all over the world. Rudie has discovered described many new species of sea horses and developed new groundbreaking techniques in fish photography amongst many other exploits. Now it seems he is turning his talents to rare and interesting flora and insects. Rudie Kuiter photograph of an Arganout Being a total fish enthusiast myself, I felt honoured to be able to spend an hour with Rudie while he plied his trade photographing rare orchids at the Langwarrin Flaura and Fauna Reserve. I simply bumped into him as he emerged from some bushes with his camera, and we started talking. When he learned that I was once the President of the South Australian Native Fish Association, Manager of the Southern Eyre Marine Farm, and a keen SCUBA diver, he opened up.

Riding hell on the Sunshine Coast

Nothing like a good rare T-bone, except when it involves a land-cruiser pulling out without looking! Bill was keen to show me the good roads around the Sunshine Coast, but 5 minutes into the ride he was cleaned up with me riding just behind him. The land-cruiser just pulled out in front of him from a T intersection. Bill did a great job of emergency breaking but the distance was just too short. Bill Hill seriously hurt after being T-boned His knee and leg were smashed. A huge gash on the back of his leg allowed his severed calf to hang out like a tongue. The ligaments in his leg were torn beyond repaid. Nasty! Fortunately several nurses were at the scene and provided first aid. Bill then underwent several surgeries on his leg. It was touch and go if it would have to come off but they managed to save it. Bill's high level of fitness was a key factor. No stopping this staunch old-school Kiwi Bill had pulled my caravan apart just prior to his accident, but s
